New Features in iOS 26.3 Beta 1

Apple is currently testing iOS 26.3, the next version of its mobile operating system, expected to launch in late January. This update is smaller than previous ones due to the holiday testing period.

Transfer to Android

Apple has introduced a new tool to simplify the process of switching from an iPhone to an Android device. Users can transfer photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, and more by placing their iPhone next to an Android device. However, health data, Bluetooth‑paired devices, and protected items like locked notes will not be transferred.

Notification Forwarding

A new setting called “Notification Forwarding” allows incoming notifications on an iPhone to be forwarded to a third‑party wearable device, such as an Android smartwatch. This feature is located in the Notification section of the Settings app.

Weather Wallpaper

The update includes a new Weather wallpaper section in the Lock Screen customization options. This section features three pre‑designed Weather wallpapers with different fonts for the time and various weather widgets.

Compatibility

iOS 26.3 is available on all iPhones that support iOS 26.

Release Date

The update is expected to be released in late January.
