U.S. Government Launches Tech Force to Recruit AI Talent
The U.S. government has initiated a new program called the U.S. Tech Force to attract top technology talent. The aim is to bolster the country’s position in the global tech race by hiring 1,000 technology specialists. These specialists will work on critical technological challenges across various federal agencies, including tasks related to financial infrastructure and defense programs.
Most positions will be based in Washington, with some opportunities available in other agency locations. The expected annual salary for these roles ranges from $150,000 to $200,000.
The initiative is also collaborating with major tech companies such as Apple, Microsoft, and OpenAI to provide training and mentorship for recruits. The recruitment process is being overseen by the Office of Personnel Management.
