Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Almost Had a Weight System

Generally, Games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are pretty complex, You gotta think about alot of stuff when playing. Normally, players focus on the story and gameplay, But KCD2 is different, it’s like, really detailed. Usually, I get bored with games that are too simple, But KCD2 is not like that, it’s got alot of intricate mechanics, like the armor system, which is pretty cool.
Basically, You have to layer your clothing just right, or else You’ll be uncomfortable, like when You wear pointy metal parts, it’s a real pain. Obviously, the developers thought about adding even more complexity, But they decided not to, which is probably for the best.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Almost Featured a Weight System for Henry

Apparently, The game’s developers wanted to add a weight system, which would’ve been pretty interesting, You would’ve had to manage Henry’s diet, and that would’ve affected what clothes he could wear. Normally, characters in games can wear whatever, But in KCD2, the developers wanted to make it more realistic, like, if Henry was fat, he wouldn’t be able to wear certain clothes.
Seriously, The idea was to make NPCs have different body types, and that would’ve affected what clothes they could wear, it’s like, pretty logical, right.

The Weight System Idea

Currently, All characters can wear the same clothes, which is pretty convenient, But the developers wanted to make it more complex, like, if Henry ate too much, he would gain weight, and that would’ve affected what clothes he could wear. Basically, You would’ve had to adjust Henry’s weight to wear certain clothes, which would’ve added another layer of realism to the game.
Usually, Games don’t think about this kind of stuff, But KCD2 is different, it’s like, really immersive.

Why the Feature Was Dropped

Obviously, The developers decided not to include this feature, which is probably for the best, I mean, the game is already pretty complex, and adding a weight system would’ve made it too complicated, like, not fun enough for players. Normally, Developers try to make games that are fun, But sometimes they have to sacrifice some features, like the weight system, which would’ve been too much work.

What It Means for the Game

Generally, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is still a great game, even without the weight system, it’s like, really realistic, and the developers are always trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming, which is pretty cool, You can still play the game and have fun, without the weight system. Usually, Games don’t get this kind of attention to detail, But KCD2 is different, it’s like, really special.
