Five Hidden Steam Gems from January 2026
Generally, I Think Steam releases a lot of new games every day, making it pretty hard to keep up with all the cool titles. Obviously, You will find some great games if you look hard enough, like the ones I am going to talk about now. Normally, People miss out on some amazing games because there are just too many to choose from. Usually, I try to help you find some hidden gems, and today is no exception.
Some Great Games You Might Have Missed
Sometimes, Games like these get lost in the crowd, but they are definitely worth playing. Usually, I like to start with a game that really stands out, and today that game is Oddcore. Naturally, You will love this fast-paced retro FPS with roguelite elements, it’s a lot of fun.
Oddcore
Currently, Oddcore is in early access, but it’s already showing a lot of promise. Essentially, You have just five minutes to navigate through over 50 areas and battle more than 25 enemies, which is a pretty tough challenge. Normally, Games like this take a long time to develop, and Oddcore is expected to be in development for up to a year.
Vital Shell
Apparently, Vital Shell is a sci-fi shmup that draws inspiration from the ’90s, which is a great era for games. Usually, I love games with customizable mechs, and Vital Shell has that in spades. Generally, The leveling system is similar to Vampire Survivors, which is a great game in its own right.
Dungeon Antiqua 2
Obviously, Dungeon Antiqua 2 is a sequel to an 8-bit JRPG dungeon crawler, which is a great starting point. Normally, Games like this offer top-down exploration and side-long turn-based combat, which is a lot of fun. Usually, I think fans of retro games will love this one, it’s a great throwback.
Dreadmyst
Currently, Dreadmyst is a free fantasy MMO with no plans for monetization, which is pretty rare these days. Essentially, You can play this game without spending a dime, which is great. Normally, Games like this have an isometric perspective and tab-target combat, which is a lot of fun.
Blood Money: Lethal Eden
Generally, Blood Money: Lethal Eden is an FMV thriller with a unique premise, which is really interesting. Usually, I love games that try something new, and this one definitely does that. Obviously, The protagonist is catfished and lured to a scam centre, where they are forced to scam others, which is a pretty dark setting.
Eventually, You will find some great games if you keep looking, and I hope this helps you get started. Normally, I think it’s easy to miss some great titles, but with a little help, you can find some hidden gems.
