The Dark Eye Returns: Poe’s Horror Game Hits Steam
Generally, I Am really excited about this game coming back. Usually, old games like this do not get re released, but somehow this one is. Apparently, the company that made it, Inscape, got a lot of money from big names like HBO and Warner Music, so they could do whatever they wanted. Basically, they made a really weird and cool game that people still remember today.
A Strange Relic of the 90s
Normally, I do not like old games, but this one is special. Obviously, the graphics are not as good as new games, but the creepy look and feel of the game makes up for it. Interestingly, the game uses live-action claymation and early 3D, which was really cool back then. Usually, games from the 90s do not hold up today, but this one still feels spooky and fun.
Edgar Allan Poe Meets William S. Burroughs
Sometimes, games can be really boring, but this one is not. Fortunately, the game uses stories from Edgar Allan Poe, which are already pretty creepy. Actually, the game uses three of his stories, including *The Tell-Tale Heart* and *The Cask of Amontillado*. Usually, I do not like it when games use old stories, but this one does it really well.

Obviously, the music in the game is also really good. Generally, I do not notice music in games, but this one is different. Apparently, Thomas Dolby did the music, and it is really spooky and cool. Sometimes, music can make a game feel really immersive, and that is what happens here.

Normally, old games are not worth playing, but this one is. Usually, I prefer new games with good graphics, but this one is special. Interestingly, the game has a really weird vibe that you do not see in new games. Apparently, the developers were really brave and tried to make something different.
