HAVIT Space S1 Headphones: ANC & Sound for $40
Generally, I am really happy with my purchase of the HAVIT Space S1 headphones. Normally, you would expect to pay a lot more for this kind of quality. Usually, I prefer to use physical controls, and the S1 has a great big knob that is easy to use. Obviously, this is a lot better than touch controls, which can be really frustrating when you are wearing gloves.
A Return to Simplicity: The Power of Physical Controls
Personally, I love the physical knob on the S1, it feels like an old radio, and it is really easy to use, even when my hands are cold. Naturally, this means I can skip songs without having to look at the headphones, which is really convenient. Often, I find myself using the dial to adjust the volume, and it is smooth, but sometimes it can be a bit too sensitive, especially when I am on a bumpy bus. Seriously, it is a lot better than touch panels, which can be really annoying when you are wearing gloves.
Noise Cancellation That Actually Works
Basically, the S1 has really good noise cancellation, it can cut out about 45 decibels of background noise, which is really impressive. Normally, cheap headphones do not do a great job of cancelling out noise, but the S1 is different. Usually, I use my headphones in noisy places, like coffee shops, and the S1 does a great job of blocking out the background noise. Occasionally, a loud noise will still get through, but overall, the noise cancellation is really effective.
Spatial Audio That Feels Natural
Generally, the spatial audio on the S1 is really good, it feels like I am in a tiny concert hall, and the sound is really immersive. Naturally, this is because of the algorithms that the company uses, which make the 40mm drivers sound really great. Usually, I am not a big fan of spatial audio, but the S1 does a great job of making it sound natural. Occasionally, I notice that the left side is a bit louder than the right, but overall, the sound is really good.
Built for the Long Haul
Personally, I am really impressed with the battery life of the S1, it can last for up to 100 hours, which is really crazy. Normally, I would expect a headphone to last for around 20 hours, but the S1 is different. Usually, I use my headphones for gaming, calls, and watching movies, and the S1 is really reliable. Occasionally, the connection will flicker when I walk through a metal door, but overall, the Bluetooth 6.0 connection is really strong.
Affordable Without Compromise
Basically, the S1 is a really affordable headphone, it costs $39.99, which is a great price. Normally, you would expect to pay a lot more for a headphone with this kind of quality. Usually, cheap headphones cut corners, but the S1 does not feel cheap, the build is really solid. Occasionally, I worry that the price is too good to be true, but so far, I have been really happy with the S1.
Final Thoughts
Generally, I am really happy with the HAVIT Space S1 headphones, they check all the boxes. Normally, I would expect to pay a lot more for a headphone with this kind of quality. Usually, I recommend headphones to my friends, and I would definitely recommend the S1. Obviously, it is not perfect, but it is a great choice for anyone who wants a good headphone without breaking the bank.
