Stardew Valley 1.7 Update: New Characters & Map Editor
Generally, People love Stardew Valley, it’s like, a really popular farming simulation game, and it’s celebrating its 10th anniversary in a big way. Normally, Developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone would be focusing on his new project, Haunted Chocolatier, but he’s still giving us fresh content for the game. Obviously, fans are super excited about the upcoming 1.7 update, it’s looking like it’s going to be the most ambitious one yet.
New Faces and Family Upgrades
Usually, when a new update comes out, we get some new characters, and this time is no exception, two brand new marriage candidates are coming, but Barone is keeping their names a secret for now. Naturally, fans are already speculating about who they might be, and whether they’re brand new folks or tied into existing storylines, it’s all pretty mysterious. Apparently, the update also promises upgrades to the game’s children, which is something a lot of players have been asking for, because right now they feel kinda static.

Eventually, we’ll see what’s next for Stardew Valley, and Barone hasn’t ruled out a sequel, which is exciting, because he said he’d love to make Stardew Valley 2, a fresh world with new characters, capturing that original energy from 2012, and he’s already started working on it before, but it was set aside, so we’ll have to wait and see.
