Sims 4 Staircase Update: Build Mode Gets a Boost

Generally, I think this update is really cool, it’s like a dream come true for people who love building stuff.
Obviously, the new stairs are a big deal, they feel like a fresh start for builders, i mean who doesn’t love a good staircase.
Sometimes, i get bored with the same old stairs, but now we have flared stairs and custom railings, it’s a game changer.

A Build Mode Lover’s Dream

Usually, i spend hours building houses, it’s my favorite thing to do in the game, and now it’s even more fun.
Naturally, the new stairs are a big part of that, they add a whole new level of customization, i mean you can make them look however you want.
Apparently, Lauren Morton from PC Gamer is also a big fan of the new stairs, she said they feel like a breath of fresh air.

How It Works

Basically, you can adjust the stairs by pushing the arrows at the top or bottom, it’s pretty simple.
Often, i find myself getting frustrated with the old stairs, but now i can make them look exactly how i want, it’s great.
Normally, you would have to use a lot of cheats to get the stairs to look right, but now it’s all built in, you can just hold shift and move one side of the stairs.

More Than Just Stairs

Interestingly, the update also includes some other cool features, like expanded family tree labels, and autonomous flirting restrictions.
Sometimes, i get confused about who’s related to who, but now it’s all laid out, it’s really helpful.
Obviously, the new Create-A-Sim filter is also a big deal, it adds a whole new level of customization, i mean you can make your sims look however you want.

Why This Update Matters

Personally, i think this update is a big deal, it shows that the developers are still invested in the game, and they care about what players want.
Generally, i think it’s a good sign for the future of the game, i mean if they can make updates like this, who knows what’s next.
Naturally, some people might not be as excited, but for me, it’s a big deal, i love building and now it’s even more fun.

What’s Next?

Eventually, we’ll get the Royalty & Legacy expansion, and that’s going to be a big deal, it’s going to add a whole new level of gameplay.
Usually, i’m not a big fan of expansions, but this one sounds really cool, i mean who doesn’t love a good royal drama.
Apparently, it’s going to drop on February 12, so we don’t have to wait too long, it’s just a few weeks away.
