macOS Tahoe Finder Bug Still Hinders Column Resizing

Generally, Apple Released macOS Tahoe In September 2025, And It Looks Super Sleek, But There’s A Nasty Little Snag That Shows Up When You Use Column View. Normally, You Would Expect A Smooth Experience, But This Bug Is Pretty Annoying. Usually, I Try To Be Patient With New Updates, But This One Is Taking Too Long To Fix.

The Bug

Apparently, In Both macOS 26.0 And The Later 26.2, The Bottom Scroll Bar Overlapped The Resize Handles, And Even Hid Some File Names. Often, I Notice The Problem When I Try To Widen A Folder Pane And The Mouse Just Slides Over The Bar. Basically, Apple Tried To Fix It In The 26.3 Update By Shortening The Vertical Thumb, Which Lifted The Handles Enough To Click. However, The Horizontal Bar Still Covers The Tail End Of File Names, And The UI Looks Half-Finished When You Hide The Path Bar. Obviously, I Think The Gap Under The Scroll Area Makes The Whole Thing Feel Sloppy, And It Needs More Work.

Fortunately, For Now, You Can Switch The Scrollbar Setting To “Automatically Hide And Show,” Or Go Back To An Older macOS Version Where The Bug Isn’t Present, Which Can Be A Temporary Solution. Alternatively, You Can Also Avoid The Problem By Using Icon Or List View Instead Of Column View, Which Might Not Be Ideal, But It Works. Normally, If You’re Stuck, File Feedback Through Apple’s Bug-Report Portal – It Helps The Devs Notice The Issue, And They Can Work On A Fix.
