Morocco to Host GITEX Future Health Africa 2026

Generally, I think it’s pretty cool that Morocco will host the first GITEX Future Health Africa from May 4-6, 2026 in Casablanca, gathering health leaders, tech innovators, and investors to boost Africa’s digital health ecosystem. Normally, events like this are really important for the continent. Anyway, the event is supposed to be a big deal, with lots of people attending.

Overview

Obviously, I’m excited to tell you that Morocco is set to stage the first edition of GITEX Future Health Africa, a three-day showcase of digital health innovation, from 4 to 6 May 2026 in Casablanca. Usually, these kinds of events are organized by big organizations, and this one is no exception, with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, and Kaoun International all involved. Apparently, the event runs under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Why It Matters

Who Will Attend

Probably, the summit will attract African health ministers, senior government officials, representatives from international agencies, scientific experts, industry leaders, start-ups and venture capital firms. Normally, these kinds of events have a pretty diverse range of attendees. Over three days, Casablanca will host high-level scientific conferences, hands-on workshops and a large exhibition space, which should be pretty interesting.
