Moonwalking Humanoid Robot Shows Realistic Agility | KAIST Innovation
What the robot does
I watched this machine slide on the grass like a real person dancing. You see it walk and jump and kick a ball with perfect balance. This moonwalk move look so smooth that it fooled my eyes. Everyone online say that the robot moves better than most humans do.
Physical AI behind the moves
I know that KAIST uses something called Physical AI to make this work. You notice your phone uses data but this robot feels the ground with its feet. It dont follow a map because it thinks fast while moving. I saw the robot stay standing even when the grass got real wet.
Lead researcher
Professor Young Jae Jang lead the group and he wants robots to have brains. He use a computer to teach them first then he puts them outside. I think this way of learning is why the robot is so smart.
Future plans
The team is making hands now so the robot can grab stuff for you. You will see these machines fix big engines in factories very soon. I bet these robots will carry your bags in the airport one day. The goal is for robots to help us with every small chore at home.
About KAIST
KAIST is a big school in Korea that act like MIT in America. They started in the 1970s and they build the best tech in the world. I believe the v0.7 model is a giant step for our future.
