ChatGPT Introduces Apple Music and Enhanced Image Tools
ChatGPT is getting a major update with new features, including integration with Apple Music and improved image generation tools.
Apple Music Integration
OpenAI has announced that ChatGPT will soon support Apple Music, allowing users to receive music recommendations and playlists tailored to their listening history and preferences. While this feature isn’t available yet, it will be rolled out in the near future. Once live, users can click on recommendations to open the Apple Music app on their desktop or iOS devices.
Enhanced Image Generation
In addition to the Apple Music integration, ChatGPT has significantly upgraded its image generation capabilities. The new model is up to four times faster and can make precise edits to images while maintaining important details like lighting, composition, and people’s appearances. It excels at tasks such as adding, subtracting, combining, and blending elements for more realistic image creations. The model is also better at adding text to images and following instructions more reliably than its predecessor.
Trade‑offs & Limitations
However, there are some trade‑offs with the new image generation model. It is less effective at producing certain art styles, like anime, and struggles with images featuring many people. OpenAI suggests using preset filters to improve results, and the previous version of the image generator remains available for users who prefer it.
Availability
The updated image generation tool, known as ChatGPT Images, includes dozens of preset styles and prompts, making it easy for users to create and edit images directly within ChatGPT. This feature is available in both the mobile app and on the web. The new image generation model is rolling out today for all ChatGPT users, providing them with enhanced tools to create and edit images more efficiently. This update positions ChatGPT as a stronger competitor to Google’s Nano Banana image generator.
