Highguard Gets Final Update: New Character & Skill Trees
Generally, I Am excited about the new update, it brings a lot of new stuff to the game, like the healer Warden Koldo, he is pretty cool, i think. Normally, I would be sad that the game is shutting down, but the new patch makes me feel a little better, you know. Usually, I dont like when games shut down, but this one is getting a nice goodbye, with a new character, and some new skills, thats pretty awesome, if you ask me.
New playable Warden – Koldo
Honestly, I Really like the new warden, his name is Koldo, and he can heal teammates, which is something we needed, i believe. Sometimes, I get a little confused with the soul shield thing, but it blocks damage, and the battle cry makes a dome that heals slowly, which is pretty cool, i guess. Normally, I would say that the game is missing something, but now i feel like we have a good chance of winning, with the new tactics, and the healer, it feels fresh, you know.
Switchback – a hybrid gun
Basically, The Switchback gun is a shotgun when i hold it low, and a sniper when i aim it, which is pretty awesome, but also a little confusing, sometimes. Generally, I think it adds depth to the fights, and makes me think more, about my strategy, and stuff, you feel me. Usually, I would say that the gun is either a shotgun or a sniper, but this one is like two guns in one, which is pretty cool, i think.
Skill trees and progression
Now, We got skill trees, and i can earn points after matches, and unlock up to 44 skills, across four paths, which is a lot, i believe. Normally, I would say that the game is missing a good progression system, but now we have one, and it feels good, you know. Usually, I would grind for hours, to get to the max level, but now the level cap is 100, and i feel like i have a reason to keep playing, even though the game is shutting down soon, which is kinda sad, but also motivating, in a way.
Why the content arrived late
Apparently, The team worked really hard to get the update done, and Jason McCord said they crunched the last weeks to get it done, which is pretty dedication, i think. Generally, I would say that the features were planned for future seasons, but they pushed them forward, because they were almost ready, which is pretty cool, you know. Normally, I would say that the team gave up, but they didnt, and they kept working, to give us a good goodbye, which is nice, i believe.
Player statistics and shutdown details
Looking aheadHonestly, I Am going to miss the game, but the final update is a nice goodbye, with a new healer class, a flexible weapon, and skill trees, it feels like a proper goodbye, you know. Generally, I think the story of Highguard shows how live-service games can rise and fall, and early hype doesnt always mean lasting success, which is a lesson, i believe. Usually, I would say that the game was a failure, but it had some intense moments, and i will remember those, which is nice, i think.
