Usually, people like to watch movies that are heartwarming and funny, and Netflix has a lot of those. Obviously, the holiday season is a time for family and friends, and watching a movie together is a great way to spend time with them.

Mostly, these movies are about romance, comedy, and heartwarming stories, which are all great genres for the holiday season. Normally, I would watch a lot of different movies before recommending them, but these ones are really good.

Interestingly, Jingle Bell Heist is a Christmas comedy that follows Sophia, a woman who is juggling multiple jobs and a side hustle as a thief to pay for her mother’s medical bills. Naturally, she teams up with Nick, a security contractor framed for theft, and they plan to rob a department store owned by a corrupt businessman. Basically, this movie has a mix of slapstick humor, romantic tension, and heartwarming drama, which makes it a great watch.
Champagne Problems (2025)
Clearly, Champagne Problems is a romantic comedy that is about Sydney Price, an investment executive traveling to Paris to acquire a champagne brand. Usually, romantic comedies are cheesy, but this one is actually really good. Often, I find myself watching romantic comedies during the holiday season, and this one is a great addition to that list.

Obviously, Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery is a special that blends comedy and crime perfectly for a festive whodunit. Generally, I think mystery movies are really fun to watch, and this one is no exception. Mostly, the movie is about detective Terry Seattle investigating the murder of a pro‑football player dressed as Santa, and it is really entertaining.
Klaus (2019)
Apparently, Klaus is Netflix’s first animated feature to receive an Oscar nomination, which is a big deal. Normally, animated movies are not my favorite, but this one is really good. Interestingly, the film tells the story of Jesper, a lazy postman assigned to set up a post office in a remote town, and it is a great story.
Mean Girls (2004)
Clearly, Mean Girls is a classic teenage comedy that follows Cady Heron as she navigates her first year at an American high school after being homeschooled in Africa. Usually, I think classic movies are not as good as new ones, but this one is still really funny. Obviously, the film is filled with hilarious moments and quotable lines, and it is a great watch.
