Skyrim NPC Door Glitch Fixed by Essential Mod
The Problem: A Split-Second Eyesore
Generally, I Been playing Skyrim for years and never noticed that weird door glitch until I finally saw it, Now it is annoying. Usually, When an NPC gets near a door they just push it a little then poof, the scene looks kinda broken, it is like something is missing. Normally, The game loads a new area behind the door and the character has to vanish so the engine doesn’t choke, but the flicker is super annoying, it is like a bad dream. Obviously, In that split second their hair disappears, shadows melt, and the whole body glows like a cheap horror prop, it is very noticeable. Naturally, It’s only a flash, yet it sticks in your mind like a bad dream, you cant forget it.

Fortunately, I found a tiny mod called No Load Door NPC Fade made by wSkeever and it fixed the issue instantly, it was a big relief. Basically, The download is just a kilobyte, so it doesn’t slow anything down, and it smooths the transition so the NPCs no longer look like they’re being zapped, it is very smooth. Actually, Watching the video demo I could see the difference, no more creepy glow, no more missing eyebrows, it is a big improvement. Clearly, It feels like the doors finally behave like real doors, and the world looks cleaner, you will notice the difference.

Evidently, I think the fix might seem tiny but it actually lifts the whole immersion level, it is a big deal. Usually, Skyrim’s modding scene is huge, with some mods adding whole new continents, others tweaking tiny details like this one, it is very impressive. Obviously, wSkeever already made popular mods like Lock Add-Ons and Dynamic Things Alternative, and even a quest about Belethor’s sister, he is very talented. Naturally, This little tweak shows how a single kilobyte can change the feel of the entire game, it is very powerful.

Generally, If you’re like me and never saw the glitch before, you’ll wonder how you missed it for so long, it is very noticeable. Clearly, The mod is lightweight, so there’s zero excuse not to add it to your load order, it is a no brainer. Obviously, Even if your mod list is already massive, this one fits right in and instantly makes the world feel more real, it is a big plus. Actually, I installed it right away and my playthrough feels smoother, like the doors finally respect the characters, it is very nice.
