Tencent to Double AI Spending Over $5B in 2026

Overview

I see Tencent spending more than 5 billion dollars on AI projects by the year 2026. You should watch how they put the HunYuan models into the WeChat app. My thought is that this plan change the game for the whole company.

Tencent reported 109.4 billion dollars revenue which is a big 14 percent jump. You can bet that 61.5 billion in profit makes these big bets very easy. I believe their cash flow give them a massive lead over the competition.

Ma Huateng says his core business is very strong and brings in plenty of money. You need to understand that Martin Lau views this spending as a way to grow fast. Each of their core businesses are cash generative according to the boss.
